Curd is a smooth, creamy, sweet spread. Usually made with citrus fruits, its main ingredients are egg yolks, sugar, fruit juice and zest, butter or margarine.
You can use it as a delicious alternative to jam. Spread it thickly on your scones, toast, baguettes and croissants, or use it as a filling for cakes, pastries and tarts.
